So tonight Matt and I went and looked at a house and went to the movies, during this time he started getting text messages. These were from someone who had the wrong number and did not realize it. Matt could not let this go…
Random: Hey what happened with Chris in court today?
Matt: He is going to jail.
Random: How long?!
Matt: He is going to prison for 3 years :-(
(Matt laughed and was like I put a frowny face, I hope it isn’t something like that guy killed my family. I told him it was OK because we could just play it off like he didn’t get enough time depending on where this landed.)
Random: Shit that’s crazy! We have been hearing rumors 7 to 9 years!
Matt was going to try and find out what happened to get Chris in so much trouble but we were trying to think of a way to get them to tell us why he was there without tipping them off. I think I would have went with “They started throwing some other trumped up charges in there, what all did you hear he did?” I hope this is an ongoing thing until we find out what happened to our new best friends; Random Person & Chris.
